Introducing CSGS digital humanities postdoctoral researcher Joseph Stoltz

CSGS recently welcomed Joseph Stoltz as our new digital humanities postdoctoral researcher. Stoltz holds a PhD in history from Texas Christian University and specializes in military history with 20+ years of experience in the public and academic history fields, including serving as digital historian at the George Washington Presidential Library at Mount Vernon.

Stoltz joins the CSGS research team working on “Firearms use and regulation in the 18th and 19th centuries: Modeling the Application of Historical Methods for Law and Policy in the Bruen Era.” He brings a valuable set of skills and experiences to this project to create a practical field guide for Second Amendment research that is geared towards judges and others interested in this field.
