Overview:
The Center for the Study of Guns & Society (CSGS) is seeking a motivated student researcher to assist with a historical research project focused on Connecticut soldiers who fought in the American Revolution, including individuals who served on both the Patriot and Loyalist sides. - Compiling lists of archives, libraries, and repositories that hold relevant materials (such as military records, correspondence, pension files, town records, and personal papers), with brief descriptions of their holdings.
- Researching and writing short narrative accounts of the lives of selected historical figures from Connecticut who lived during and participated in the Revolution, representing both sides of the conflict.
- Assisting in the creation of a curated collection of historical objects and images (such as documents, artifacts, portraits, maps, or material culture), including basic descriptive information and source citations.
