Greater Middletown Military Museum – Paid Opportunities for Wesleyan Undergraduates

Overview:
The Center for the Study of Guns & Society (CSGS) and the Greater Middletown Military Museum are seeking student researchers to assist with researching stories related to military history, with a focus on the history of firearms, associated with Middletown. Copies of any written products from student research will be added to the museum’s collection.
The Greater Middletown Military Museum’s mission is to preserve the stories, documents and memorabilia of men and women who have served in the Armed Forces of the United States of America, and to tell those stories to future generations. The museum also collects and preserves memorabilia and stories of the families of those service members and the civilian manufacturing that supports our military.
Position Activities:
Researching and writing narrative accounts of selected historical figures from Middletown who served in the military or were involved in the civilian manufacturing of firearms that support the military.
