CSGS is offering a travel award for early-career PhDs (degree granted January 2023 or later) and PhD candidates to network and share their research to our annual fall conference, “Current Perspectives on the History of Guns and Society”, October 10-11, 2025, at Wesleyan University in Middletown, CT.
The purpose of this travel award is to provide an opportunity for emerging scholars to learn more about research in the social and cultural history of firearms and ballistics. Awardees will have an opportunity to discuss their own research at a lunchtime roundtable.
The travel award pays for flight, ground transportation, and hotel.
